My Passion, My Purpose, and My Plan

Hi, all! Welcome to Grown By Grace, a blog where we'll talk about how to become your best self through physical health, mental/emotional health, as well as spiritual health. With this being my first blog post, I'd like to first share a little bit of my background and credentials that will tie into what my passion, purpose, and plan is for this blog. :)

My name is Lauren and I'm 24 years old. I recently graduated with my psychology degree with a minor in health education. I also hold a few titles & certificates; I'm a certified personal trainer, a certified nursing assistant on a transplant oncology unit, and within that role I'm also certified to have the 'difficult' conversations with any patient that may need it. Although I am no where near a perfect Christian, I am strong in my faith and my love for God. I believe that He's blessed me with a strong sense of empathy, communication, and a love for people as a whole.

I believe that the gifts that God's given me are intended to be used for a bigger purpose. So, I intend to fulfill what I believe is God's mission for me -- helping as many people as I can throughout my life. Whether it's physical ailments & pain, emotional/mental/psychological issues that need to be addressed and sorted through, or if it's helping people grow in their faith, I want to make any kind of impact that I can.

It's no secret that depression and anxiety rates have spiked exponentially in the past several years, and suicide often being an outlet that many people resolute to. Even if you aren't dealing with debilitating depression or anxiety, some help to get through the tough seasons of life can always be useful. I plan to utilize this tool to be brutally open and honest with my audience. I'm not here to be or act perfect -- I plan to raise awareness for the good, the bad, the ugly, and the nitty gritty real life problems. I plan to let you know that you are not alone. I want to give testimonies and help raise awareness that even in the darkest and hardest seasons, there can be hope, that you're not alone in those times, and that there's more than what you can see beyond those times.

Thank you for visiting my page and taking the time to give me a read! I can't wait to share everything I have in store for you guys. :)
